QubitBlochSphere — Math Circle
Minds Entangled in Math
The QubitBlochSphere Journey
QubitBlochSphere Math Circle was founded in 2022 by Rishabh Venkataramani, a passionate math enthusiast who is currently a senior at Vista del Lago High School in Folsom, California.
As a young mathematician, Rishabh loved participating in competitions such as MOEMS, MathCounts, and the AMC series. However, he noticed a lack of local opportunities for younger students in the Folsom area to explore similar enrichment. Many motivated learners were eager to explore advanced mathematics and participate in competitions but lacked the necessary guidance and resources.
Motivated to make a change, Rishabh began mentoring a small group of students at a local elementary school. The initiative soon expanded to multiple elementary and middle schools, working closely with school officials and eventually mentoring over 150 students. His outreach also included partnering with a Title I school, where he enabled 18 students to participate in MathCounts for the first time, opening doors for students who previously lacked access to such opportunities.
In addition to mentoring, Rishabh has organized competitions, created study materials, graded and evaluated tests, and developed online resources and instructional videos to support students’ learning beyond classroom sessions.
Today, QubitBlochSphere Math Circle stands as a student-led community dedicated to making mathematics accessible, engaging, and fun for elementary and middle school students.
